Dog & Cat Antibiotics
Cefa Drops contain the broad spectrum antibiotic cefadroxil which is effective against Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial infections. Cefa Drops pet meds can be used to treat soft tissue and skin infections, including pyoderma and dermatitis, in dogs and cats.
Cefa Drops provide broad-spectrum activity against
a range of bacterial infections in cats and dogs. The drops treat a
variety of infections in animals, including urinary tract, skin, bones,
respiratory tract, joints, and others.

Use this medication only as directed by your veterinarian.
Read directions carefully before mixing and administering.
Consult your veterinarian with questions or concerns.
Do not allow children to administer the drops to your animal.
Directions:
- Tap bottle gently to loosen powder.
- Add 10.4 mL of water in two portions for 15 mL bottle;
add 34 mL of water in two portions for 50 mL bottle.
- Shake well.
- Administer with or without food.
- Give dogs 10 mg/lb of body weight twice each day.
- Give cats 10 mg/lb of body weight once each day.
- Continue treating for as long as prescribed or for
at least 48 hours following cessation of symptoms.
- Discontinue therapy if no response is noted after
3 days.
Frequency of Use:
Skin and soft tissue infections in dogs require treatment
for a minimum of 3 days. Genitourinary tract infections in dogs require
treatment for a minimum of 7 days. Maximum duration of therapy for dogs
should not exceed 30 days. Maximum duration of therapy for cats should
not exceed 21 days.
Storage:
Store unmixed product at controlled room temperature,
between 59 and 86 degrees F. Store mixed product in the refrigerator
and shake well before using. Discard unused medication after 14 days.
Keep out of reach of pets and children.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Cefa Drops are for oral administration and contain
a semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic medication effective against
a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. The medication
treats bone, joint, skin, genitourinary, respiratory, and other infections
in cats and dogs without causing significant side effects.
Warnings:
Keep Cefa Drops out of reach of children and animals.
Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Cefa Drops is intended for use in cats and dogs only.
Not for other animals or for human use.
CAUTION: Use with caution in animals
allergic to penicillin. Do not use in dogs or cats with a known allergy
to cephalosporins.
Not for use in animals intended for food production.
It is not known if this medication is safe for use
in pregnant, breeding, or nursing animals.
Side effects may include nausea and vomiting. Administration
of Cefa Drops with food appears to decrease these side effects. Diarrhea
and lethargy are possible following administration.
Do not use this medication in animals with a known
allergy to it or to similar medications.
