Anxitane

Anxitane is a nutraceutical product for soothing anxious, fearful, or nervous pets. It is useful for anxious personalities and for situations that induce anxiety or related emotions, such as walks, the presence of unfamiliar people or animals, environmental changes, noise, veterinary visits, car rides, and grooming.

Anxitane is a nutraceutical, rather than a pharmaceutical. This means that it is a food with medicinal benefits as opposed to a drug. It is used to relax dogs and cats demonstrating nervousness, fear, or anxiety. This product works in animals with generally anxious personalities and in those that experience these emotions in response to environmental stressors.

Directions:

1. Administer 1/2 chewable tablet of Anxitane S to cats and dogs under 22 lbs. twice per day.
2. Administer 1/2 chewable tablet of Anxitane M & L to dogs weighing 22.1-55 lbs. twice per day.
3. Administer 1 chewable tablet of Anxitane M & L to dogs weighing more than 55 lbs. twice per day.

Frequency of Use:

Doses are given twice daily. The minimum course of treatment is 2 months. If your pet does not show signs of improvement after this time, or if anxiety worsens, discontinue use and have your veterinarian re-evaluate your pet.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store tablets in their original blister pack. Keep product at controlled room temperature, protected from moisture.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Anxitane is an L-theanine supplement. This compound, known to contribute to green tea's calming effect, increases the presence of the neurotransmitter GABA. This mechanism of action helps the central nervous system better regulate its neuronal excitation.

Anxitane is available over the counter.

Anxitane (L-Theanine)

Anxitane S (for cats and small dogs weighing less than 22 lbs.) and Anxitane M & L (for medium and large dogs) are sold in packages of 30 chewable tablets. Anxitane S contains 50 mg L-theanine (Suntheanine®) and Anxitane M&L contains 100 mg L-theanine (Suntheanine®).

Active ingredients: L-theanine (Suntheanine®)

Inactive ingredients: colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, mannitol, micocrystalline cellulose, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, poultry flavor

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Anxitane is for dogs and cats. Do not administer to other animals. Not for use in humans.

Use as directed by your veterinarian. Consult about extended use of this product.

If your pet's condition does not change or worsens after 60 days of use, discontinue administration and talk to your veterinarian.

CAUTION: Do not use Anxitane in animals with separation anxiety, severe phobias, or a history of aggressive behavior.

To ensure the best results, use Anxitane in conjunction with behavior modification training.
