Use this product only on cats and kittens
over 8 weeks of age and on dogs and puppies over 7 weeks of age. Do
not use on other animals.
Keep out of reach of pets and children.
Do not allow children to apply Advantage II. Carefully read directions
and precautionary statements before each use.
To Open:
- Cut a section containing
one tube from the card. Be careful not to cut the blister cavities with
your scissors while separating the section.
- Cut into the blister cavity
of the separated section using scissors. Cut across the small side,
close to the tube cap.
- Peel away the foil and remove
the tube.
To Apply:
- Pull the cap off the applicator
tube while holding the tube in an upright position.
- Turn the cap and place it
back onto the tube so that the ends are reversed.
- Break the seal by twisting
the cap. Remove the cap from the tube.
- When using on cats, part
the hair at the base of the skull. When using on dogs up to 20 lbs.,
apply to the area between the shoulder blades. When using on larger
dogs, apply to three or four spots along the area between the animal's
shoulder and tail. The skin should be visible.
- Place the tube tip against
the skin and squeeze until the entire contents are released. Avoid getting
the product into the animal's eyes or mouth.
This product tastes bitter. Cats
that lick the treated area immediately after treatment may experience
salivation.
Frequency of Use:
Advantage II is effective for one month
under normal conditions. Severe infestations of fleas may require retreatment
in less than one month.
Do not retreat with Advantage II more
often than once every 14 days for kittens. Do not retreat more than
once every 7 days for cats or dogs of any size.
Return to a normal treatment schedule
of once per month after achieving flea control.
Storage:
Store Advantage II in a cool, dry place,
in its original container, and out of the reach of children and animals.
Do not reuse or refill this container.
Place empty containers in the trash or offer for recycling, when available.
Call your local solid waste agency
or 1-800-422-9874 for instructions on disposing of partly filled containers.
Do not wash this product down indoor or outdoor drains.
It is a violation of Federal Law
to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
The active ingredient imidacloprid
in Advantage II works on the central nervous system of fleas to induce
paralysis and cause death. Pyriproxyfen, the other active ingredient
in Advantage II, regulates insect growth to prevent flea eggs from hatching.
This effectively ends the flea life cycle to eliminate infestations.

Advantage II is for use on cats and

using this product on older, debilitated, pregnant, or nursing pets.
CAUTION: This product causes
eye irritation and is harmful if swallowed. Keep out of contact with
clothing and eyes. Use soap and water to wash hands after using this
product.
Like any other product, Advantage II
may cause individual reactions or sensitivities. Report any reaction
to a veterinarian if it persists or becomes severe.
Report adverse events and medical emergencies
by calling 1-800-422-9874. Call 1-800-255-6826 with general questions.
If Swallowed: Seek treatment
advice immediately by calling a doctor or poison control center. Sip
water while waiting for medical attention. Induce vomiting only if instructed
to do so by a medical professional.
If in Eyes:
Hold affected eye open and rinse gently and slowly with clean water
for 20 minutes. Rinse for a full 5 minutes before removing contact lenses,
if present, and then continue rinsing. Seek medical advice.
If on Skin: Wash thoroughly
with clean water and soap. Report lasting irritation to your doctor.
