Amoxicillin Fish Antibiotics
Fish Mox and Fish Mox Forte are antibiotics for fish with amoxicillin. Fish Mox pet medications are effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria and are used to control common bacterial fish diseases like aeromonas and chondroccus. Each Fish Mox capsule contains 250 mg of amoxicillin, while Fish Mox Forte contains 500 mg amoxicillin.
Fish Mox is an antibiotic effective
against a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Use
of Fish Mox clears up a variety of infections and prevents complications.
Fish Mox is sometimes given to treat infections in dogs and cats and
may be used off-label to treat infections in small animals.

For Use In:
Ornamental and aquarium fish only. Fish Mox may also be used in dogs
and cats.
Use only as directed. Do not allow
children to administer Fish Mox.
The recommended dose of Fish Mox depends
on the location of infection and susceptibility of bacteria. Consult
your veterinarian for specific dosing information.
Directions for Fish:
- Add one capsule of Fish
Mox into the aquarium water. Use one 250 mg capsule per 10 gallons of
water or one 500 mg capsule per 20 gallons of water.
- Repeat treatment in 24 hours.
You can make a partial water change between doses.
- Repeat daily treatments
for 5 to 10 days, or for the period of time specified by your veterinarian.
Discontinue if no improvement is noticeable after 5 days.
Directions for Dogs and Cats:
- Administer 3-9 mg per pound
of body weight every 8 to 12 hours.
- Consult your veterinarian
for exact dosing.
- Discontinue if symptoms
of an allergic reaction occur.
Storage:
Store Fish Mox at room temperature.
Keep away from light, moisture, and heat. Keep out of reach of children
and pets.
It is a violation of Federal Law
to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Fish Mox fights off bacterial infections
in fish and other animals that would cause harm if left untreated. Fish
Mox works to treat and prevent infections in fish and other animals
by exerting an anti-bacterial action on gram-positive bacteria. Fish
Mox is also effective against some gram-negative bacteria.

Keep this product out of reach of children
and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Fish Mox is intended for ornamental
and aquarium fish only. Fish Mox may also be used in dogs and cats.
Do not give Fish Mox to humans.
CAUTION: Allergic reactions
to Fish Mox are possible and the development of such reactions requires
discontinuation of the medication. Use with caution in animals with
allergies to penicillin-like medications.
Oral doses commonly cause vomiting
and/or diarrhea.
Consult your doctor before giving Fish
Mox to dogs, cats, or other animals that are being treated with other
prescription or over-the-counter medications. The antibiotics chloramphenicol
and tetracycline, for example, may interact with amoxicillin.
