Do I need a prescription to order from VetDepot.com?
We carry both Over-The-Counter (OTC) and prescription pet and veterinary medications. If you order a prescription medication, please include your pet name(s), veterinarian name, and your veterinarian's telephone number so we may contact them for the required prescription. If you have your vet's fax number that will help as well. If you are ordering for more than one pet, please also indicate which medication you are requesting for which pet. We ship from multiple locations and any OTC items in your order will ship as soon as possible, typically in 1 to 2 business days. We will ship prescription items in your order typically 2 to 5 business days after we have received a prescription from your local vet. Due to state and federal legal restrictions, prescription products may not be returned.
Are your products the same as my Vet carries?
Yes - All products we sell are purchased through the same sources your local vet or pet store use. We only sell medications approved by the United States EPA and FDA. Alhough some of the most popular products are available at low prices overseas, importing them is illegal and there is no way of insuring their integrity or freshness. For the health of your pet, we urge consumers to avoid the temptation of even lower prices and to not deal with any online vendors that may be reselling products purchased overseas; typically from Canada, Australia, or Europe.
Please note that certain Merial products such as Frontline Plus are only manufactured in France and are imported by the manufacturer into the United States. Those products are also manufactured in other countries and those versions are not approved for use in the United States by the EPA or FDA. All products manufactured for use outside the United States utilize metric weight measures for pet sizes rather than pounds (lbs) and so are easily recognizable.
Is my credit card and other personal information safe with VetDepot.com?
Yes - All important information you send to us is extremely secure and transmitted through an SSL connection with 128-bit encryption. This is the same security method used by all major retail and financial Internet sties. The information you give to VetDepot will never be sold, traded, or shared with any third-party. Can I get free shipping or return my order?
Yes - All orders over $99 receive free standard shipping, only vaccines and certain heavy items are excepted. In addition to our low prices and convenience, we offer quick shipping on your order. Most orders are shipped within one business day from the time an order is placed. We have several warehouses which allow us to reduce costs and shorten delivery times. Standard shipping for orders under $99 is $6.99. We use US Postal Service and UPS for standard shipping and UPS for all 2nd day and overnight shipments. Standard shipping times typically range from 3 to 7 business days. Your statisfaction is our top goal and we allow you to return anything you purchase subject to certain conditions due to the nature of medical products.
